Why the "Justin Craig Thompson Memorial Foundation"?:

The Justin Craig Thompson Memorial Foundation was established in March of 2007 as a loving tribute to Justin and his love of hockey. Justin died suddenly of an undetected heart condition on February 25, 2007 while on his way home from playing hockey in Brentwood, MO. His dedication to playing hockey began at 5 years old and continued right up to his last night at the age of 26. In honor of Justin, the purpose of our organization is to provide funding to local hockey clubs so that financially disadvantaged kids are able to play hockey, regardless of the often substantial cost to do so.
